About

Eureka Valley Floor Company is a Union wood flooring company established in San Francisco in 1923, specializing in commercial and residential wood flooring projects. My father, William Cooney, took over the business the same day I was born in 1960, after a long apprenticeship with his father, John Cooney.

I joined the business after college in 1982 and partnered with my father and brother, Dennis, in 1985.

Eureka has concentrated on the business we understand — the installation and refinishing of custom wood flooring. Since that time we have completed millions of square feet of flooring on various projects in San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and the East Bay. In addition to custom wood flooring, we also install refinished wood flooring.
